The outsole is attached to the shoe through a direct injection process. This results in a durable sole that has precise lug shapes and spacing. It also creates a durable, waterproof outsole that is highly resistant to wear.

The Field Trekker Mid features a midsole made of EVA foam which is lightweight, flexible, and durable. It has a soft texture but is pliable enough that it supports varying foot movements. This boot is made of premium Suede leather sourced from a Silver-rated tannery. All parts of the upper are stitched together which ensures strength and durability.
It also features a rand - a thin layer of rubber that wraps around the toe area. Aside from protecting the toes from sharp hazards on the trail, the rand also protects the stitching around the upper.
