The outsole unit of the Saucony Cohesion 12 is comprised of the XT-600 rubber, a high-durability compound that is tasked with protecting the midsole from the harsh effects of surface contact and usage. It provides traction, which is an essential element of running.
Zigzagging flex grooves are patterned across the entire external pad. These trenches help the whole platform to bend in conjunction with the foot as it transitions from the heel to the toe during the run.
