Why trust us

One tester described the kicks to be “very nice and comfy even without socks.” Another sneaker fan wrote in their review that the Balenciaga Track.3 is “super comfy” and that you can wear them all day.

The design is more subtle

Sneakerheads love the distinct distressed and deconstructed design of the Balenciaga Track.3. Even with a “more low-key” silhouette, one reviewer commented that still, the pres-cuff is cool. One sneakerhead mentioned that the shoe is fit for street style. However, some reviewers noted that the kicks aren’t as flashy compared with other Balenciaga sneakers.

When in doubt, go black

When choosing a colorway, many testers suggested the black version. According to one sneaker expert, for the black colorway, the mesh and nylon are more muted, “hiding the distressed details better than its colorful counterparts.” The black version is a “really good everyday shoe,” noted another tester.

They are hefty for the wallet

Balenciaga Track.3 costs $995 a pair. The box comes with an extra pair of laces and a Balenciaga dust bag. However, compared to the average cost of a Balenciaga sneaker at $920, the kicks are a whole $75 more expensive. Additionally, compared to the mean price of all running low-tops which is $124, the Track.3s are 7x pricier.

Track.3 vs. other Track sneakers

The Track.3 is released as part of the Balenciaga Summer/Spring 2022 collection. It dons the same distressed look as seen in other Track trainers. The main difference is the absence of the complex layers in the upper that is seen in both Track and Track.2. One reviewer commented that Track.2 is the best because “it has a huge amount of overlapping paneling which looks amazing.” However, one sneaker fan argued that Track.3, with the least amount of overlapping layers, is easier to break in. A tester even shared that the Track.3s are actually “lighter than the original.” The OG Track Trainers are their go-to travel sneakers but noted that they were “chunkier and heavier” compared to the Track.3.

In terms of price tags, the Balenciaga Track Trainers and Track.2 are more expensive compared to the Track.3s. The two cost $1050 and $1150, respectively. The most expensive on the bunch as of the time of writing is the Track Led which has a price tag of $1350.
