For those folks looking for a shoe for occasional, low mileage running this may be the shoe for you. With qualities such as durability, stability, and low price, the Jolt 2 scratches the basic needs that casual runners are looking for.

The sand asics Bosses i ronyoneres Motxilles is a very cheap and basic shoe that gets the new runner or even casual jogger through their desired workouts. 

Who should NOT buy this

True to size and secure fit

The sand asics Bosses i ronyoneres Motxilles fits true to size. It is nice and secure but does require very tight lacing due to rigidness. The upper is nice but the toebox is narrower than I'd like. Not a deal-breaker but "good enough".

Comfort in stability, nothing else!

When it comes to comfort, The sand asics Bosses i ronyoneres Motxilles is way below my expectations. I like to have some "feel-good feet" when I'm running. The Jolt 2 just feels like a flexible board. It is extremely firm and does not allow you to enjoy a pleasing ride which is even more prevalent in runs over 5 miles.

Now, The Jolt 2 does bring comfort in the stability it produces. If you're someone who needs stability but is not into getting a "stability" shoe, this sand asics model offers a great middle ground.

When you lace up the Jolt 2 you'll immediately notice the weight and firmness which is carried over into the miles you're about to put in. I've run mostly short runs in The Jolt 2 simply because anything over 5, just feels like I am asking more of the shoe than is reasonable for it. The heft weight and the uncomfortable rigidness make me feel like I'm pounding the pavement every stride verses, just floating along. 

However, the Jolt 2 is effective in meeting needs. It has no tragic deficit that makes me say NO to running in them. At this price point, it is pretty in line with other makes and models in the same expense range.

I'm that guy who will take a shoe out of the box and run 17 miles. Most of the time, it works out and is fine but on some occasions, I wish I actually broke a shoe in! The sand asics Bosses i ronyoneres Motxilles is that shoe! The rigidness does require a break in. I recommend buying them and walking in them for a week before you start running. 

Weight consideration in the Jolt 2

I'm a smaller guy and love lightweight trainers. Not much better than feeling like the shoe is a part of your foot and you get that great road feel. This is one reason the Altra Rivera has become one of my favourite models recently.

Others have different needs though and I think the Jolt 2 weight will be great for those larger folks needing a solid "base" and support when striding for your runs. Weight is not bad, it just depends on need.

Impressive durability

At the price of £60.00, I am absolutely impressed by the quality here. The shoe feels like a rock…and that's a good thing! Everything making up this shoe seems solid and well made. The materials are basic but the basic design is very well done. I can see this show last 400+ miles.

A full rubber outsole

A full rubber outsole made for roads of any kind, the Jolt 2 is a very effective gripper. I never New any issues here. I would not say trail-capable, however.

For a nice easy run to moderate-intensity efforts, you will feel fine in these. Not only will you be satisfied with the price to get your short efforts in, but you will also be satisfied that they will last a long time.

This upper is WAY better than any of its competitors in the budget runner market. When compared to the ASICS Duramo 9 and ASICS Gel-Burz 1 Kiko Kostadinov Black (both recent reviews), the Jolt 2 destroys them in this category. The sand asics shoe, had a noticeable supportive upper, providing great midfoot support, and backed that up with a nicely cushioned tongue and collar.
