Garmont’s Ascent GTX relies on its Vibram Nepal outsole in providing climbers with an adequate amount of grip on rugged terrain. Its self-cleaning lugs, which are a combination of blocky and triangular protrusions, produce multi-directional traction. Its semi-blocked forefoot zone made of a sticky compound is engineered specifically to aid users during tricky ascents.

Its rearfoot region, on the other hand, is given a heel brake, improving the boot’s descent control capability.

Thanks to the footgear’s bi-microporous rubber midsole, mountaineers can travel over rough terrain with enough comfort and footing security.
